40th post...and back to school

Oh well, hols over, e-learning over, school officially starts for us again..new term, new challenges..trying times ahead guys..we gotta brace ourselves and work together to get better results! AIM 4 MAINSTREAM TRIPLE SCIENCE! AIM FOR MSG OF 2.5 (for me) or 2!!! Or 1.5!! JIA YOUZ!!!! :D L.O.L & H.S. Shinn FTW!!!

Ahh..Bon Jovi still owns after 25 years..Though Jon (lead singer) permanantly disabled him from singing too high in 1995..damn his voice still owns..and Richie is damn good with the guitar..

Now many bands (rock/boy/girl/etc.) are just bullcrap that only look good and can't sing a crap in live performances..Maybe only in the studio do they sing well..Are labels just trying to get money using such methods?

1. BuSHy Doughs on Robert's t00t:8.5/10-Relatively good song, I like the calm prelude and the peacfulness yet rock from the chorus. Very Climatic.
2. Qi1 Fu4 Xiao2 Hai2(Bully Young Child):7/10-More of a rap. Quite good lyrics and danc moves, but tune and words needs some refining still.
3. Wo Dui Ni Hen Hen Hen Bu Hen: 8/10-Relatively classic song, not too bad.
4. She won't be loved: 9/10-Has a touching yet emoiistic feel. Relatviely good.
5.Will go home without you: 6/10-A twist that went horribly wrong.
6. Boulevard of Roberts: 9.5/10-Excellent song with original concept and lyrics, just needs to refine the tune. Overrall well done.
7. Makes me ponder: 8/10:-Tune and song is relatively catchy, except that the lyrics needs to be sang clearer.
8. Monkey Crap: 4/10-Two words > Utterly horrible and not worth listening to. Wait...or is that 7 words...
9.Gilgamesh Of Food (note*:Gilgamesh refers to the ultimate one and only king when the world was not seperated yet.): 9/10-Wonderful style and personality, lacking some good lyrics.

Game Review - Torus Trooper

Game review: Torus Trooper

Game summary:
A ship flies around in a tube blasting stuff. Speed can be controlled by ship. There is a time limit. When the time reaches 0 the game ends. 15 seconds is gained by meeting a score target. 30 seconds is gained for defeating a mid-boss, and 45 for defeating a boss. 15 seconds is lost when the ship crashes into enemy projectiles. Z for normal gun and hold X for power shot. The longer one holds X, the more powerful the power shot is. The power shot can go through anything, including enemy projectiles. However charging it slows down the ship, and in the process no bullets (Z) can be fired from your ship. To gain more firepower, it is necessary to go beyond a certain speed first.

Game Concept: 7/10 -
Very original concept. Not many tube shooters out there. The player has to manage his time well and avoid being hit, which is great fun. How speed can be controlled is also awesome. However, that's about it. Nothing else is offered. Could be improved by adding powerups or something like that.

Graphics: 9/10 -
The graphics are very clear and they look great. The logo could be improved on, though.

Music/SFX: 6/10 -
Music isn't too bad. However there are only 4 tracks. Plus there were not many instruments used, which makes for very surface-level tracks. Sound effects was okay. Overall, the audio isn't too good, but it's seldom a pain to listen to.

Replay Value: 3/10 -
Only 1 mode. Comes in Normal, Hard and Extreme. It would have been a lot better if the game offered something different as well - like a two-player cooperative/competitive mode. One of the only motivating factors to play the game again is to unlock more and more levels, I suppose.

OVERALL: 25/40 = 6.25/10
Not too bad, but not good either. The game is highly original and the graphics are great, but the audio needs improvement. Also, the game is in DESPERATE need of more game modes. It's fun but it gets boring after a while.

Ok guys, using the chairman power, XD i have decided we should re-use the blog as i think the name and design is good and simple. So 1stly, here are some things we needa do.
1.Get a new banner(Walsh and me will handle)
2.Get a picture of robert for our new banner
3.Try to sqeeuze in roberts picture for our banner.
(if it cant be squeezed in beside our faces,then no choice lor, use roberts face as back ground for bannerXD.
